We are testing rechargeable LIR2032 batteries / Testaamme uudelleenladattavia LIR2032 kolikkoakkuja

We are always aiming at making things more sustainable. One of the efforts is to find alternatives for non-rechargeable cr2032 coin cell battery as the power source in ACT Head Impact Tracker head sensor. One of the initiatives there is exploiting rechargeable LIR2032 batteries. The availability in Europe for such alternatives is poor, but we have finally found one option and started testing this specific rechargeable LIR2032 coin cell battery available in www.eBay.de (https://bit.ly/36cIFQB) with ACT Head Impact Tracker head sensor.

Why we need to test them? The voltages between the rechargeable and the standard non-rechargeable cr2032 batteries are different. The components in the head sensor have voltage limits to them - if exceeded the components may break, or their life span can be significantly decreased. This is what we want to test, so that you do not have to. So far the testing looks very promising and we hope to be able to clear this specific rechargeable cr2032 battery to be compatible with ACT Head Impact Tracker soon.

Miksi akkua täytyy testata? Pattereissa ja akuissa on eroja jännitteen osalta. ACT Head Impact Tracker pääsensorissa käytetyissä elektronisissa komponenteissa on jänniterajat jotka korreloivat cr2032 patterin rajojen kanssa, mutta ylärajat ovat harmillisen lähellä LIR2032 maksimijännitteen kanssa. Jos jännitettä on liikaa, komponentit voivat hajota, tai niiden elinikä voi vähentyä merkittävästi. Siksi testaus on tärkeää.
Tähän mennessä testaus on mennyt hyvin ja toivottavasti meillä on myöhemmin keväällä iloisia uutisia asiaan liittyen.
